PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE AND OCTOBER 2025 NEWSLETTER

Dear Peach State 1116 Chapter Members and Friends,

As we settle into the beautiful fall season, it’s a wonderful time to reflect on gratitude and growth—both personally and professionally. The changing leaves remind us that transformation is a natural part of progress, and this year’s AORN theme, Lighting the Pathway, encourages us to continue guiding one another toward excellence in perioperative nursing.

We’re looking forward to gathering for our November 12th meeting, which also falls during Perioperative Nurses Week! This is a special opportunity to celebrate all of you—the dedicated professionals who keep our patients safe and our operating rooms running smoothly. Your commitment truly lights the way.

Here’s what’s coming up for our chapter:

• November 1–2, 2025 – Southeastern AORN Regional Conference in St. Augustine, Florida
  • Peach State will sponsor one member by reimbursing their registration for this inspiring event. It’s a wonderful way to connect, learn, and grow with peers from across the region.
• April 11–14, 2026 – AORN Global Conference & Expo in New Orleans, LA

We’re already looking ahead to this exciting national gathering where we’ll continue to share, learn, and celebrate perioperative excellence. Please see the information below for a scholarship opportunity!

We are also looking for Campus Champions and committee members to join our leadership efforts. These opportunities are a meaningful way to serve your chapter and earn points toward CNOR recertification—while helping us stay connected across all the hospitals our members represent.
